fitness requirements: This camp is open to all paces but we must say that this is not a hiking camp. We ask that you are able to spend at least 3 hours running on trail for both the Friday and Saturday big adventure run days. Expect to cover between 30 to 40 miles over the four days. This camp will boost your fitness AND you need to have a solid fitness base to attend. We will have "bonus" run options if you'd like to challenge yourself with more mileage during camp. If you feel that coming to this camp is a goal you would like to train for, we are available for one-on-one coaching or to develop a training plan to get you there. We WANT you here.
Once you secure your spot, we will send a questionnaire to learn more about your training, trail running experience, and dietary preferences.

If this sounds like something you are interested in and you are ready to reserve your spot, please click the link below. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

I’ve had a few womxn reach out to me saying they aren’t in shape for this camp but really want to be. I love this so much. I want women to want to train for big, physical goals instead of aesthetically based goals meant to keep us small. If you need any help at all, with the running or strength training component, please reach out by filling out the form below. We can set up a time to talk and design a training program that works for you. Whether you need a coach to guide you weekly or just to check in once a month, we have you covered.

-Coach Amy

1:1 Coaching

If you are interested in training to come to this camp, or are looking for a running coach in general, we have you covered!

Wednesday

March 5th | 3.2 miles | 400' elev.

After a quick meet and greet once we arrive at the house, we will head out for a short shakeout on the trails right out our front door, catching sunset on the way back.

The Trail Runs

We have at least one organized trail run per day. With 3 supportive trail leads, no one will ever be left on their own. We will accomodate different paces and will regroup on the trail at various spots on the run. WE are here to work hard but also to be together as a group and enjoy the beautiful landscape. We will try our best to stick to the itinerary below but reserve the right to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

thursday

March 6th | 6-7 miles | 1000' elev.

Scenic run with some view points, and maybe even a visit to a vortex…

Friday

March 7th | 8-9 miles | 2000' elev.

Soldier Pass & Seven Sacred Pools Loop. We can’t wait to show you this special route! We will run this from the house (yep, no van time!) and have some gorgeous spots to check out along the way.

saturday

March 8th | 8-9 miles | 2000' elev.

We’ve decided to do two mid-length runs back-to-back instead of building up to one long run. This way we don’t have to carry as much water and can accomodate a wider range of running abilities. For anyone craving more challenge/miles, we can lead a group on a second route for the day.

sunday

march 9th | 3-5 miles| optional

Optional goodbye run. Depending on how you are feeling after a few big days of running, we will have an optional run or hike on the trails from the house that will be anywhere from 3 to 5 miles. If you feel like going for a walk instead, fantastic. You do you. We want everyone to challenge themselves this weekend AND also make the right choices for you.

RDTC House

Our headquarters for camp

Located walking distance from downtown Sedona and spitting distance from the nearest trailhead, camp headquarters is your home away from home! This stunning house is surrounded by red rock views on all sides and boasts a hot tub for afternoon recovery sessions after big days on the trail.

“Camp was a great way to learn more about serious trail running in a supportive and non-competitive environment. I was relieved that my fitness level was in the same ballpark as many of the other women, but I also valued the exposure to more hardcore athletes. That was a unique combination that I think might be hard to find elsewhere.”

FAQ

  • Trail runners of varying paces and abilities are welcome to camp. That said, this is not a hiking camp. Please look at the planned runs to make sure this is something you will be able to do. If you aren’t sure, reach out to us and we can figure it out together.

Our longest run will be either 13 or 16 miles and while there is no time limit, out of respect for the other participants, please arrive to camp willing and able to take this on.

We want to challenge and support each other during this camp. We don’t expect you to be an elite athlete but we do want to make sure you are prepared.

  • There is a non-refundable $600 deposit due at registration.

Cancel before February 5th and receive a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit.

No refunds will be given for cancellations after February 5th, 2025.

Late cancellations make it extremely costly for us to find other participants and we are likely to take a loss. If you are concerned about a potential issue, we strongly encourage purchasing trip insurance.

  • Make sure to pack a variety of running clothing for both hot and cool temperatures as Sedona weather is still warm during the day but can be chilly at night. You need a hydration pack that can carry 2 liters of water. Pack your favorite running snacks and of course trail shoes. Don’t forget a bathing suit for the hot tub and also something a little nicer for dinner out on the town. And all the hats…

We will provide detailed preparation info before camp, including comprehensive packing list!

  • There will be a complimentary shuttle leaving Phoenix Airport for Sedona at 2pm on Wednesday, March 5th. Please plan your flights accordingly. If you can’t make our shuttle, there are other shuttles you can arrange for the 2 hour trip to Sedona but it will definitely be more fun in our vans hehe. On Sunday, we will leave for the airport by 9:30 am so plan your flights out for the early afternoon.

  • A healthy breakfast bar will be offered each morning at camp headquarters, gourmet picnic lunches, and evening dinners are all provided. We have an in-house chef to prepare healthy, filling dinners and one night will be spent out at one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Sedona. In addition, headquarters will be stocked with a variety of snacks, waters, and non-alcoholic Best Day Brewing beers.

  • One thing we learned from our own running camp experiences is although we loved spending time doing planned things, we also really wanted a few hours of down time. For those of you who may want to nap, have a second run, go into town or read a book on the patio, we have this time built in for you.
